Hardwood floors are a very popular flooring option due to its versatility, durability, and high-quality appearance. Hardwood flooring has a timeless appeal while being very customizable. Maple, oak, hickory, walnut, pine, birch, and cherry are all type of hardwood that can be used and within that there are a variety of shades and colors that can add a distinct look.

Porcelain Tile

All porcelain is ceramic, but not all ceramic is porcelain. There is a distinction there. Specifically, porcelain has lower water absorption due to a denser body, which makes it well suited for outdoor installations in addition to indoors.

Porcelain tile has a greater breaking strength because it is fired at extremely high temperatures, becoming 30% harder than natural stone (like granite and marble). It also generally costs less than natural stone.

Ceramic Tile

Ceramic tile is usually more cost-effective than porcelain and it makes for easier installation. While still strong, you do look some of the density and strength found in porcelain.

Ceramic tile also typically has more color options available.

Stone Flooring

Natural stone is often associated with luxury. Whether it’s granite, limestone, slate, or marble – there is something about it that is very elegant. Natural stone is perfectly imperfect with its pattern and coloration, making each piece unique.

Stone is widely used in commercial applications, which can be available in many sizes and finishes.
